Di -PE is a white ,odorless and crystalline powder. It is no poison to animal. no stimulate to skin, no pollution to environment .Purity's melting point 221-222.5°C. Di-PE is slightly soluble in water, but little soluble in most organic solvent. It can react with organic material and turn into ester. Di-PE usually consists of a little mono-PE and Tri-PE .So its hydroxyl value is between 38-40.

Di-PE, as an important fine-chemical intermediate, it is mainly used in coating industry, polyether, alkyd resin photosensitive resin film. Its low aliphatic ester is u
sed as PVC plasticizer in hi-temp insulating material .Its high aliphatic ester is in aviation lubricant.
